Hello, my name is Corey Ruff. I was born February 19, 1986 to Sue Ruff
of Clinton, Arkansas and Bill Davis of Jonesboro, AR. My
stepfather Mike Ruff, whom I call dad, lives in Clinton, Arkansas. I am the younger of two and my brother's name is Morgan. On August
4, 2012 I am married best friend Courtney
Love. I have a Healer/Border Collie mix Rowdy (11), Lab Kate (3) and a miniature Daschund
Tigger (12). I love to hunt, fish, play guitar and sing as well as to do
anything pertaining to horses or rodeo.
A Brief History: My mom was born in Newport, AR but
graduated form Washington Community High School in Washington, Illinois
where my Pop was a Research Diesel Mechanic for Caterpillar. When I was
born, my mom was a preschool teacher in Newport. Then after moving to
Jonesboro she worked as a Manager at Nut Hut and Candy Craze for 12
years. She then married my dad Mike and we moved to Clinton where she
became a substitute teacher for South Side Bee Branch Public Schools. My
Dad Mike Ruff was born in Jonesboro, AR but graduated high school in
Houston, Texas. He attended some college but did not finish. He worked
for many years as a Foreman for an installation company traveling all
over the U.S. and Canada installing shelving, counters etc. from
Wal-Marts to Sacs 5th Avenue and about 5 years ago started his own
business Mid West Installers. I graduated high school in 2004 from South
Side Bee Branch. I first attended UAM at Monticello and participated on
the rodeo team riding bulls and team roping. After a year, I transferred
to SAU in Magnolia where again I was on the Collegiate rodeo team and
was in a band with Mrs. Griffin's husband. After 2 1/2 years I moved to
Jonesboro and fished up my degree in Agriculture Education at ASU
Jonesboro in 2010. During my time in college, I had numerous Agriculture related
jobs. I've worked as a farm hand on 3 different horse farms, built fence
for a fence company, equipment operator, welder, Foreman for Midwest
Installers, and a horse trainer my last 2 years in college. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Agriculture Education from SAU in Magnolia.
